Purity Ring 7|15|2012 and what a great concert it was. This two person band will go far. It was fascinating to see how they performed live, with light bulbs that were also triggers to different presets for each song. On top of that there was live distortion and dynamic loop recording happening to the vocals. All of that was controlled by one guy. He was dropping some sick rap beats as well (while doing all the above).   I’m guessing he was using Reaktor along with Max|MSP. I don’t know any of the hardware, but it must have been some drum machine along with a 1-octave midi keyboard. Nicely done, I look forward to the release of their debut album Shrines, and whatever comes after that. I’d definitely see them again. You should as well.
